The forensic crew worked swiftly around the mess in the middle of the room and didn’t speak unnecessary words out of respect to the bloodied body of a silver-haired man in a hakama. The detective in charge of the investigation stood dumb-founded at what he saw and kept shaking his head. After all, it’s been almost ten years since the last time he’s seen a similar scene and to his knowledge, the previous perpetrator went behind bars.
“What is going on here? I wish to speak with Touya Kouyo immediately!”
A man in a white suit appeared in the doorway, his face schooled into an expressionless façade, but fear still apparent behind the hazel eyes. The detective had a sudden feeling his case would be difficult, again.
“I’m afraid Touya Kouyo won’t be speaking with you ever again, sir,” he said politely and stepped sideways to show the horrific crime scene.
